This section is all about the fun stuff I’ve made throughout the years.

Most of it are the videos for friends’ birthdays, weddings, leaving do’s, etc. Don’t judge too strict on the quality: these were always made ‘on a lap’ in a few days with my partner in crime Emiliya, with rookie sound editing, old pictures or phone footages that we could get from friends or relatives of a person without him or her knowing (for it to be a surprise). Anyway, what’s most important is that everyone we made these vids for absolutely loved them!

And we had fun making them.

The Path of a Nomad

The Path of a Nomad was made for a friend’s wedding in 2024. It is the longest video I’ve ever made of this kind. Metaphorically, we’re all nomads in our lives, searching for something, whether it’s love or happiness, or just ourselves. Two travellers meet a wise woman. She tells them a legend of a Nomad girl from a small rural town, who travelled the world. Has she found what she was searching for?

Watch and find out!

We'll never say "Goodbye"

Sometimes people move to new places but friendships stay unchanged. And there’s no place for sadness since that special person is the funniest, most positive and cheerful soul on earth. Her friends and ex-colleagues have something to say to her before she leaves and this something is anything but “goodbye”. Another funny part is that she hasn’t moved eventually, but her life took a positive turn nevertheless. But that’s a totally different story.

The video is absolute shambles made in a couple of days with no colour or sound editing. But with a contribution of a few truly loving hearts!

Count Pushkarev & Princess Gerasimova Royal Wedding

The whole video is in Russian, made for our friends’ wedding. First and foremost: our depiction of this couple is absolutely not what they are in real life. We kind of created our own characters out of the props we had and I don’t even remember writing a script for this one. It was an improvisation on the go and I’ve realised only recently that we didn’t use any pictures or stuff from their friends or relatives. I wonder why I never used such a format again after this one, it keeps the action going on.

About a girl

Another video for a friend’s wedding. Lots of pictures and themes that only her and her friends would understand, but that was probably my first attempt to introduce a cinematic part and some sort of a plot, a story if you like. Again, it was produced extremely quickly just to get it done on time. A bit funny, a bit lyrical, with some simplest editing the video still did well for the audience it was meant for.

Tiny gathering before Vadim’s wedding

The first one of the series. Mostly in Russian with a bit of English. No planning or scripts whatsoever. Viewers attempting to watch this proceed at your own risk, because at the time, I haven’t yet mastered this bit known as ‘stabilisation’. In fact, it’s just absent. So, you might feel dizzy at times, but hey, bumpy rides are the least boring ones.

The video was born spontaneously and rather ordinarily: A couple of Germans came to England to join a Russian, a Korean, and a British Hong Kongese (all single at the time) to say words of wisdom to a Chinese in his future married life because they all couldn’t make it to his wedding in Kazakhstan. And to show him a place where he used to live in London (a door, a window, and a dumped mattress) for him to… I don’t know. To shed a tear of nostalgia?
